LIVE AUCTION PROCEDURES

Live Auction Items and Paddle Raise

  • Placing a Bid - To bid, you must raise your bidding number as the stated bid is announced.
  • Winning Bidder - The Auctioneer will acknowledge the winning bidder by his/her bidding number. In case of a dispute, the Auctioneer's decision is final.

 

Last Hero Standing Game

  • The last donation made will be The Last Hero.
  • You can donate as often as you want to try and be The Last Hero.
  • Donations are $50 each.
  • Each time you try, you make another $50 donation.
  • The Last Hero wins a prize worth $550 (it's a surprise!)
  • The auctioneer will determine and announce the winner.


Tonight's Giving that Grows paddle raise will fund education at MPFS in honor of our superb faculty, program, and school mission. Please raise YOUR paddle to provide an education that lasts a lifetime for the MPFS students.

We will be using mobile bidding. Once you have registered on the site, you will receive a text with a link to view all items. You can use your device to keep up with the status of your bids and continue bidding until the auction closes. Registered users may start to bid on items 1 week before the event.


How to Bid  
1. Register or Sign In  
2. Click the "Items" tab or the button at the top of the page  
3. Select an item you'd like to view or bid on  
4. Choose the amount you'd like to bid. Try using the auto-bid feature to ensure you're not outbid until the bidding exceeds your set amount!  
5. Click bid and watch your item!  


Have I been outbid?  
You will be notified via text if you have been outbid or reached your maximum bid. If you are NOT receiving the text messages, ensure you have the correct mobile number under your profile. When the silent auction closes, you will receive a text message if you win any items! 


How do I pay?  
We require that you put a credit card on file when bidding on items for easy, quick checkout. At the end of the event on 4/21, go to your activity and check out with just a few clicks! If you want to pay by check at the event, go directly to check-out. All purchases processed via credit card are subject to 3.95% credit card processing fees. The effective rate: is 4.112 % (the percentage paid to cover the cost associated with the purchase & the processing fees.) If you prefer to pay by check and are not attending the event, please contact Cynthia McGoff at [email protected] before 4/21, as cc charges are run that evening.  All non-credit card payments should be made within 3 days of the end of the event. 
 
Item Pick up or Delivery?
After paying for your item(s), you will receive a receipt via email listing the item(s) you purchased; you will also see a PAID stamp on your summary of purchases. If you are at the event, go to Reclamation, and volunteers will collect your winnings for you. If you bid remotely, all winnings can be collected the week following the auction at MPFS. If item shipping is required, the winning bidder incurs shipping costs. 

SELF CHECKOUT

  • Click on the PAY button on the top of your screen
  • Here you can review your purchases
  • Then select CLICK HERE TO PAY
  • Complete payment by entering your credit card or using the one on file
  • Once payment has been successfully processed, a RED PAID stamp will appear. 
  • Show this as proof of payment to volunteers at reclamation.
  • The reclamation team will gather your items to take home.

RULES
Descriptions - Information concerning items is believed to be reliable. Still, no warranty is made as to the accuracy thereof, and MPFS takes no responsibility for representations made in the text, photographs, or pictures. The online catalog includes full descriptions of auction items. 

Gift Certificates/Services/Vacations - Please read carefully the specifications and limitations stipulated by the donor. Unless otherwise specified, all certificates must be redeemed within one year of the auction date and are not refundable. If not set, the buyer is responsible for contacting the donor to arrange a mutually convenient time/date for redemption; contact the donor as soon as possible to make arrangements. Certificates are not redeemable for cash. 

Sales - All items are sold on an "as is."  All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds. Please note the donor's limitations and specifications. By purchasing, the buyer waives any claims for liability against either MPFS or the donor of the property or services. Neither the school nor the donor is responsible for any personal injuries or damages to property that may result from the use of property or services sold.  

Charitable Contributions - That portion of the payment for an item that exceeds the fair market value of the item may be designated as a charitable contribution for tax purposes. Contact your tax advisor as to the deductibility of individual items.
